CREATIVE LIFE

Lord, in this season I have been realizing my need for

real, tangible things.

Things that ground me.

Things I can touch, handle, see, and hear.

The sound of the wind in the trees or a good rain,

the green of the grass,

the feel of stroking my dog and feeling the velvet of her ears,

the warmth of the sun on a chilly day.

And being thankful for all of it.

Your creation is so amazing.

And You’ve created us to be able to enjoy it.

It brings peace and balance to my soul when the world feels chaotic and out of sorts.

It helps me remember that I need to

be still and know that You are God.

I am glad you like it, dear one. You do indeed need the balm of My creation to soothe and restore all that feels frazzled and worn inside you. My creation has a beauty and balance which serve interwoven purposes that accomplish all the physical designs I planned, but also minister to your soul. Your contact with My creation brings your heart back to mine. It slows you down. It helps you hear My voice. It helps you see with My eyes. It helps you treasure and value the touch of personal friendship.

I am a creative God and live within you. My work did not end with Eden, Adam, and Eve. I create My mercies new every morning. Each sunrise and sunset is given fresh from My hand. Every snowflake is unique and different. Every child born again of My Spirit becomes a new creation for a unique purpose, and that includes you. I have work for you to do that is yours alone. It may be as simple as loving and providing for your family on a day to day basis. It may involve a line of work or ministry or a blend of both that meets a need in your community.

It may not be clear to you, but I know the plans that I have for you. Trust My Spirit and leading in the circumstances of your daily life. My creative life lives within you and wants to do something new in and through you. Come to Me every morning for fresh life and let Me lead you into a life that lives and breathes with freedom, creativity, purpose, joy, and peace. Let My creation keep your senses soothed and your heart inspired. Try something new or pick up something old, but do everything you do to My glory. Do not look for the approval of others. Look for the light of My smile only. I am not looking for accomplishments and performance from you. I delight in your fellowship and in the adventure of our life together.
